Description:
Petite Frosty Rays is made from Flair, which is a tubular nylon, and has Treasure Braid Petite, a metallic thread, running through it. You can basketweave with this on 18 mesh or also do long stitches. Be careful not to pull the metallic thread all the way out as it is difficult to put it back. It gives a nice shimmer with a little bit of sparkle and is great for Christmas ornaments, stars, snow or anything you want to have a little sparkle. A trick that gives some interesting effects is to bring the thread up through the canvas, remove the needle, then slide the Flair down the Treasure Braid to form a clump. Rethread the needle, go back through the canvas at a point of your choosing and couch down the bunched up Flair. This gives the effect of a crinkly, bullion knot and makes three dimensional fur, hair or ruffles.
