Description: Neon Rays is a rayon ribbon thread that has remarkable shine. It is a ribbon, however, and as it comes off the card there will be kinks in it. If you are doing basketweave with it that will not matter. If you are planning on doing long stitches with it you must remove the kinks. You may do this in a number of different ways. The first is to wet the working length of the thread by using a damp sponge or a white paper towel or cloth and running the Neon Rays through it. Let the Neon Rays dry before stitching. Another method is to pop the thread. Wrap it around your finger on each hand and snap it. This does thin the thread and gives less coverage. You can also steam or iron the thread to remove the kinks. It takes time to do any of these methods but the result is well worth the effort. Be sure to use a laying tool to ensure that the ribbon lays flat.
